Regenerative Leadership Institute: Renewable Energy – Passive and Active

If we looks today’s prospect we are very much dependent on fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas. We always heard that soon these fossil fuels are going to end because these are not renewable. But still we are using these sources of energy for various areas like electricity generation, motor fuel, energy services, Space exploration and much more. Due to excessive use of these non-renewable resources, they are decaying at very fast rate. Now Renewable energy resources are the best resources that becoming the alternative of these non-renewable resources.

Let’s figure out the various Renewable energy Resources that are replacing these fossil fuels.

wind power

Solar Energy: This energy will available for millions of year in the future, so this is the best alternative. Solar energy is directly coming from the Sun. The energy can be utilized for various purposes like generating electricity, water heating, solar cooling and various commercial and industrial uses.

Wind Energy: Wind energy is really a great alternative for the same, this is captured by wind turbines and this can be utilized for electricity generation. Countries are establishing wind mill farms where they capture wind energy and utilize it further.

Hydro Energy: There are several rivers in the world, these are the source for Hydro Power. This can yield a lot of power as compared wind energy because water is denser then wind. Hydroelectric energy can be generated by making dams on the river.

Bio Energy: This is derived from biomass; biomass is organic matter make up with plants. Biomass can be used to produce transport fuel, electricity, and other useful chemicals. This combined purpose of biomass is known as Bio Energy.

Hydrogen: This element is in abundance on Earth, found in many organic compounds, in water as well. Hydrogen can be separated from these compounds and can be burned as a fuel and converted into electricity.

Geothermal Energy: Not all the energy comes from the sun, the earth’s internal heat known as geothermal energy can be used for variety of purposes. This includes electric power production, and the heating and cooling of the buildings.

Ocean Energy: This is most powerful resource of energy, tides have power to destruct but this power can be utilized for the production of electricity. There are several forms of ocean energy that can be used for production of energy.

Let’s tell you something very interesting, these all renewable energies are somehow related to each other. How let’s explore:

Renewable energy Resources

Sun’s heat drive wind and those are captured by wind mills at wind farm, again winds and sun’s head cause evaporation of water thus there is a rainfall and snow fall that is helpful for hydropower. Interesting, isn’t it, so let’s go further, heat, wind and water causes plant to grow, which constitute Bio energy. Hydrogen can only be used by separating it from compound, this needs, heat energy, and finally tides and ocean waves are because of moon’s gravity and moon is getting energy by sun.

At Regenerative Leadership Institute learn more and more to save you earth and make it the best place for living for your next gen.
